Extra Virgin

Happy weekend, friends! It’s been a Saturday of running around for Britt and I. We are trying to get some decorations and knick-knacks for our apartment which seems to take a while to get done! Why aren’t there three days in a weekend? We’d all be able to do so much more! Okay, enough dreaming and time to show you where Britt and I ate last night.

I had heard of an awesome restaurant downtown called Extra Virgin, and Britt and I decided we should eat there to begin a great weekend. I immediately fell in love with how quaint Extra Virgin was–tons of dim candle light with an old fashioned bar (sorry I don’t have a picture of the inside). However, Britt and I had to wait a bit to be seated and couldn’t get a drink at the bar since it was so crowded.

Once we sat down, we had a really tough time deciding what to order–everything looked so good! We started with a glass of wine and were then able to decide πŸ™‚ I ordered the Steamed Red Snapper which came with brussel sprouts, bits of pancetta, carrots, and a butternut squash puree.

Britt went with the Rare Seared Yellowfin Tuna. This dish came with fava beans, fennel, basil whipped potatoes, golden tomato vinaigrette, and golden mushrooms.

Afterwards, we hopped around to a few bars before calling it a night.

Today brought tons of sun, a great workout at the gym, a delicious pumpkin smoothie, and of course, our shopping:
